As lifelong residents of Hamilton County, Steve and Marilyn Musselman take great pride in their family-owned business based on their farm in Noblesville.
From humble beginnings in 1982, the company has grown exponentially. Marilyn got her start in the landscape business by selling bedding plants on an antique cart in her driveway and soon Steve, a farmer who was looking for his next adventure, inadvertently got into the business when he ordered a semi load of mulch for his personal use. Since his project only required half of the load, he sold the other half and Musselman Farms Landscape Supply was born. Today, Musselman Farms’ trucks deliver more than 10,000 loads of mulch, soils and other landscaping supplies to local residents throughout Hamilton County and the surrounding areas annually.
When asked what contributes to his impressive growth and success, Steve simply states, “We provide a quality product at a fair price and we return each customer’s phone call on the same day. We show up when we say we’ll show up and our drivers are courteous and professional.”
The entire team at Musselman Farms enjoys working with local residents to assist them with their landscaping needs. Steve and Marilyn are especially proud of the fundraising opportunities they’ve been able to provide local charitable groups. The couple says, “It has been deeply rewarding to help these groups achieve their goals and advance their causes by offering wholesale prices and allowing them to resell the product.”
Even after nearly 30 years in the landscaping business, Steve will tell you nothing compares to the sense of pride he gets from sending Musselman farm trucks out into the community every morning.
